What is IBAN?
IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an international standard for bank account numbers developed to identify bank accounts in international financial transactions. IBAN is used to facilitate accurate international transfers and payments by eliminating potential errors in entering bank details.
How to open an IBAN?
Youhodler allows opening IBANs for EUR accounts. When opening an IBAN with Youhodler, certain rules and restrictions must be adhered to:
Complete verification of the account on the platform is required (more details in “Account verification“).
You must be an adult resident of one of the EEA countries*.
You are outside the following countries (service is not available for these locations, please consider it if you are going to travel there): Afghanistan, Belarus, Central African Republic, China, Congo (the Democratic Republic of the), Cuba, Ethiopia, Gaza Strip, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Myanmar, Nicaragua, North Korea, Palau, Russian Federation (the), Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan (the), Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of), Yemen, Zimbabwe.
Our bank provider for IBANs is Modulr FS Europe Ltd., MODRNL22XXX.
If all checks are passed and IBAN is available for you to open, you will see the corresponding icon.
Please navigate to the account details window.
Tap on the corresponding banner and confirm the account opening.
After some time, the IBAN will be opened, and the icon will change color to green.
How to use IBAN?
Deposit funds on IBAN
To to send funds to your IBAN, go to the Wallets page. There you will see fiat wallets and wallet with green IBAN icon.
Click the Deposit button on the wallet you want to top up. For wallets without a green IBAN icon, you can also use regular deposits: “How to deposit EUR/USD/GBP/CHF using Bank Wire“.
After you pick the Bank wire option, you will see the bank account info to make a bank wire deposit.
Withdrawal of funds from IBAN
To withdraw the fiat funds from your YouHodler account using a bank wire, go to your Wallets and press the Withdraw button on the fiat wallet panel with green IBAN icon.
Choose the Bank Wire option in the Withdrawal options form.
Fill out the IBAN and Account number sections in the withdrawal form with your bank account details and press CONTINUE. Please note that the "Beneficiary name" field will be automatically filled due to restrictions on withdrawals from IBAN.

Withdrawals from IBAN can only be made to personal bank accounts only.
