How can I top up my wallet?

You can use fiat deposit and crypto deposit to top up your account:

  • Crypto/stablecoins deposit - the fastest way to top up your YouHodler account. In case you don’t have crypto yet you can deposit fiat currency and convert it to crypto within the platform;

  • By bank wire - this is the cheapest way to deposit fiat funds;

  • Apple Pay - use Apple Pay to top up your account;

  • Bank card - deposit EUR or USD directly from your bank card;

  • AdvCash - make an almost instant deposit via the AdvCash service.

Please be advised, some fiat card deposit options are available in EU, UK or Switzerland regions only. If you don’t see the particular option, it is not available for your region.

What are withdrawal options?

There are two main withdrawal options: bank wire transfers for fiat assets, and crypto transfers for crypto coins and tokens.

How long the fiat (EUR/USD/CHF/GBP wire) withdrawal takes?

The processing of bank wire withdrawal requests can take from a few business hours to a couple of business days. Once the withdrawal request is processed in the platfrom, the duration of fiat arrival depends on the payment type:

  • USD, EUR (SWIFT) - up to business 5 days;

  • EUR (SEPA) - up to 2 business days;

  • GBP, CHF - up to business 3 days.

The delayed transfer processing time can be caused by the not completed compliance verification request. Youhodler is based in Switzerland and is regulated by Swiss regulations. We, therefore, have to comply with Swiss Anti-Money laundering regulations and carry out ongoing compliance checks accordingly. Once the compliance request is completed by the user, the transferred funds will be credited to your account. The verification request is being sent to your account email. Please check your email (spam) and make sure you completed all essential verification steps. How long the crypto withdrawal takes? Why crypto withdrawal is pending?

Most crypto withdrawals are quite fast and can take from several seconds to a few minutes. Bitcoin withdrawals can be processed a little longer than most coins or tokens due to its blockchain nature. In rare cases, the processing of crypto withdrawal requests can take some additional time depending on the market activity, blockchain load, compliance checks, and other factors. If you are facing any delay over 1 hour, please reach the support team for the futher transaction status check.

What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address (network)?

Indicating the wrong address or network can result in funds loss, but in some cases, funds could be recovered (applied only to deposit transactions to your YouHodler wallet).

The transaction sent from your YouHodler to external wallet using incorrect destination address or network, can’t be reverted or recovered, if it is confirmed and processed in the blockchain. In such case you can reach the destination's side for the futher check of the transfer status and possible funds recovery options.

We strongly recommend following the transfer instructions as carefully to avoid a possible permanent loss of crypto funds.

Why crypto deposit didn't arrive?

Usually, crypto transfers are processed quite fast (from few seconds to several minutes), and if a crypto deposit did not arrive, then there could be several reasons for that:

  • The transaction hasn’t been confirmed in the blockchain yet. In such case, simply wait for the confirmation;

  • A system and the blockchain sync delay. In some cases, due to the high volume of incoming transactions, the system requires more time than usual for the sync with the blockchain for the futher deposits completion. If the delays is over 1 hours, reach the support team for the futher transaction status check;

  • A using of the smart contract (for ERC20 tokens transfers) on the sender’s side. Using a smart contracts for ERC20 tokens transfers is possible, but requires a manual processing. In sich a case please reach the support team for the futher transaction status check;

  • An incorrect transfer details (wrong address or unsupported transfer network). Indicating the wrong address or network can result in funds loss, but in some cases, funds could be recovered.

For any of those cases, please provide the required Transaction ID (TxHash/Transaction Hash) required to track the transaction and reach the support team for the futher transaction status check. The TxHash can be found in the wallet history/transaction details or requested in the wallet support.

Why fiat deposit (bank wire or bank card) didn't arrive? How long does it take for a bank transfer to be credited to my account?

Bank card deposits are processed by YouHodler’s partner services AdvCash, Unlimint and Apple Pay.

  • Most of AdvCash deposit delays are derived with the AdvCash KYC procedure. The AdvCash has its own KYC verification process separate from that of YouHodler. If you have encountered any issues making a deposit with AdvCash, please, make sure that your account in AdvCash has been verified. If all the steps of card deposit are completed properly, but the deposit is still missing, then a user has to contact the AdvCash support;

  • Unlimit (card deposit option) delays or failure transactions can be caused by the unsupported region that issued the bank card, as well as the unsupported card currency. The Bank card and Apple Pay options are available in the EU, UK and Switzerland regions for Visa (EUR, USD) cards only. For any other delay reasons, reach the support team for the futher transaction status check;

Most bank wire deposits are processed within the standart timeframes (SWIFT - up to 5 business days; SEPA -up to 2 business days; and GBP, CHF - up to 3 business days). The common reason for the deposit crediting delay are:

  • The required transfer processing time didn't pass;

  • The transfer was sent without the required payment reference number, and the system can’t identify the transfe and complete the deposit. In that case, please send the transfer confirmation receipt to [email protected] for the further check by our Finance Team;

  • A pending compliance verification request. Youhodler is based in Switzerland and is regulated by Swiss regulations. We, therefore, have to comply with Swiss Anti-Money laundering regulations and carry out ongoing compliance checks accordingly. Once the compliance request is completed by the user, the transferred funds will be credited to your account. The verification request is being sent to your account email. How to buy crypto on the YouHodler platform?

YouHodler provide several options to purchase crypto with different payment methods.

  • Bank wire. The cheapest way to buy crypto. Simply make a wire transfer to your YouHodler wallet and convert your funds to crypto with one of the lowest fees on the market.

  • Bank card. Deposit EUR or USD directly from your bank card to buy crypto within the platform.

  • Apple Pay. Use Apple Pay to top up your account to buy crypto within the platform.

  • AdvCash. Make an almost instant deposit via the AdvCash service to buy crypto within the platform.

  • Changelly. Use the Changelly widget on our platform to buy crypto with your bank card.

The most cost-effective way to buy crypto on YouHodler is to deposit fiat funds, and then convert them into any crypto available on the platform. A user can access the conversion option from any wallet of their YouHodler account.

Why my balance has changed? Even though I didn't do anything, its total value went down.

The total portfolio value displayed on the Wallet screen in USD or EUR (to be chosen by a user) of all assets is the indicator reflecting the total worth including fiat funds and crypto coins or tokens, calculated at the current price of each individual asset in the portfolio. Therefore, if the market value of the assets in the portfolio changes, the total worth of a your portfoliochanges respectively.

How secure are my funds? Do you have insurance?

All customer’s funds secured. As Swiss (EU) based and regulated company, YouHodler has a legal obligation to return the customer’s assets. You can explore a detaild info about the customers protection policy here.
